6/6/2017 - Outcome of Recent Burlington Township Police Department Participation in Click It or Ticket Mobilization
BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Public Safety Director Bruce Painter is pleased to announce that the Burlington Township Police Department recently participated in the national “Click it or Ticket” Seat Belt Mobilization Campaign.
Between the dates of May 22, 2017 and June 4, 2017, officers dedicated 100 hours of patrol time to this initiative with the following results:
147 seat belt summonses
8 cell phone/texting summonses
5 suspended driver summonses
5 child restraint summonses
1 careless driving summonses
68 other summonses

234 total motor vehicle summonses
In addition, officers assigned to the initiative made 3 CDS arrests and 4 warrant arrests.
PSD Painter credits all the men and women of the Burlington Township Police Department for making this initiative so successful and for making Burlington Township a safe community. Whereas the operational period for this initiative has ended, the Burlington Township Police Department remains committed to improving seat belt compliance in an attempt to increase the number of lives saved every year.
