10/20/2017 - BTPD Investigating Serious Motor Vehicle Collision on Sunset Road

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – At approximately 8:47 PM on Thursday, October 19, 2017, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to the area of Sunset Road and Bloomer Drive for a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that Stephen Brinson, a 23 year old male from Willingboro, NJ, was traveling westbound on Sunset Road when his yellow 2005 Suzuki GSX1000 motorcycle struck a red 2015 Toyota Rav4 SUV that turned onto Sunset Road from Bloomer Drive. Brinson was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered significant injuries. He was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Brinson remained on scene and cooperated with investigating officers.

This collision is still under investigation by members of the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau. No charges have been issued at this time.
