9/10/2018 - BTPD Investigating Fatal Pedstrian MVC Rt. 130 and Dulty’s Lane

BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – At approximately 11:10 PM on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to the area of Route 130 and Dulty’s Lane for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that Sherry Bevan, a 29 year old female from Philadelphia, PA, was crossing the northbound lanes of Route 130 in the area of Dulty’s Lane when she was struck by a 2013 silver Ford Escape traveling northbound on Route 130.  The force of the collision caused traumatic injuries, and Bevan was pronounced deceased on the scene.  Her body was released to the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Bevan remained on scene and cooperated with investigating officers.

This collision is still under investigation by members of the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau.  No charges have been issued at this time.
